About Sizelane

An independent directory of official shoe size charts, built to answer one question: what size should I buy in this brand?

How the data is collected

Every size chart on this site is copied from the brand's own official website — its size guide, help centre, regional site or official PDF — and every chart links to the exact page it came from, with the date it was checked. We do not use retailer charts, blog posts or "universal" conversion tables, and we do not estimate missing sizes. When a brand's chart could not be read reliably, the brand page says so and links to the official guide instead.

How sizes are compared

Brands convert US, UK and EU sizes differently, but most also list a length in centimetres, on one of two scales. Some, such as Nike, give a measured foot length (26.2 cm for US men's 9). Many others give the size in centimetres, the number also printed as the Japanese size (about 27 cm for US men's 9), and often call it foot length too. The two scales are about 8 mm apart per size, so the converter and the comparisons on brand pages match lengths only on the same scale. Each chart shows which scale each length column uses; we tell them apart from the numbers, by comparing the brand's lengths with the standard US size scale. Because some brands list the length of the foot and others the inside of the shoe, matches between those brands are marked.

What a brand page shows

Each brand page starts with the brand's own links: its website, its size guide, its store locator and help pages, and its regional sites where it runs them. Below that come the brand's charts exactly as published, column by column. Where a brand lists widths or gives advice on fit — for example to go half a size up in a particular range — the page quotes it with a link to the source. A short comparison then shows how long a common size is in that brand's chart compared with the middle of all the other brands here, so you can see at a glance whether the brand is sized longer or shorter on paper.

What we leave out

We do not publish reviews, opinions on how a model feels, or claims about which shoe is best. Fit depends on the model, the materials and the shape of your own foot, and the brand knows its lasts better than anyone. We also leave out numbers we could not confirm. Every brand page ends with a short list of what could not be verified on the official site — a chart behind a sign-in, a region that uses a different table, a kids' range without lengths — so you know where the gaps are.

Who it is for

The site is for anyone buying shoes online from a brand they have not worn before, comparing a running shoe with the sneakers they already own, or converting an EU size from a European shop into US sizes. It is free, needs no account and works on a phone in the shop.

Independence

Sizelane is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of the brands listed. Brand names are used only to identify their products and size charts. Links to official websites are there so you can check sizes and buy directly.

Update policy

Open data and licence

The size charts are also published as data files: one JSON file per brand with every chart, its source page and check date, and one CSV file per chart. An index of all files is at /data/index.json. The data is published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0). When you reuse or cite it, name Sizelane, link to the brand page and keep the link to the brand's official source: the brand's own size guide is the original, and its link must stay with the numbers.

Corrections

Brands change their size guides. If a chart here no longer matches the brand's official page, the official page is correct; we re-check the charts periodically and update the date on each page. To report a chart that no longer matches the brand's page, or anything else, write to 1119224220zl@gmail.com with the page and the link to the brand's official page.

Questions

How often are the charts checked?

Every official link is checked automatically once a month, and the charts of the most visited brands are re-checked by hand every three months. Each brand page shows the date its charts were last checked.

Why is a brand's chart missing?

When a brand's official chart could not be read reliably, we link to the brand's own size guide instead of guessing numbers.

Can I suggest a brand?

Yes, write to 1119224220zl@gmail.com. Brands are added in order of how often they are searched for.

Can I reuse the data?

Yes, under CC BY 4.0: name Sizelane, link to the page you used and keep the link to the brand's official source.
