Brooks's official chart lists sizes only, with no length in centimetres or millimetres, so it cannot be compared with other brands by length.
Does the official chart tell me how a Brooks shoe will fit?
Only in part. The chart gives the length each size is meant for; how a particular model fits also depends on its last, width and materials, which the chart does not show. Brooks itself advises: Order Brooks running shoes 1/2 to one size larger than your dress shoe.
