What we could not verify
- On has no separate size chart page; its FAQ says each product page has the chart. The charts here come from one product page per group, so other models may list a different size range.
- The adult charts have no foot-length column; the JP and MX values are size labels in centimetres, not stated as foot length.
- On publishes no width letter codes; some models are simply marked as wide fit.
Questions
Which length does On's size chart list?
On's charts give these lengths — Men's shoes, Women's shoes: JP: size in cm; Kids' shoes: CM: size in cm, given by the brand as foot length · JP: size in cm, given by the brand as foot length. A measured foot length and a size in cm are about 8 mm apart for the same size, so compare your own foot length only with a column on the same scale.
Does the official chart tell me how a On shoe will fit?
Only in part. The chart gives the length each size is meant for; how a particular model fits also depends on its last, width and materials, which the chart does not show. On itself advises: JP sizes are in centimetres: measure your bare foot against a wall and add about 1 cm for an indication of size. Women's sizes are 1.5 sizes larger than men's (men's US 7 = women's US 8.5); men's shoes are built wider. Running shoes should be at least half a size bigger than your street shoe, with some room in the toebox. Some models come in wide fits, found with the 'Wide Fit' filter (not in every country). For kids, measure the longer foot and size up if unsure.
When should I not compare On sizes with another brand?
When the two charts list different lengths. A measured foot length and a size in cm are about 8 mm apart, and the length of a foot is not the inside length of a shoe, so such a match can be half a size or more off. The converter matches only lengths on the same scale and lists the other brands separately.
When was On's chart last checked?
On 2026-10-24, against On's official size guide linked under each chart. The date changes only when the chart is checked again against the official page or its numbers change, not when this page's layout or wording changes.
